IHM Client Anton Egle Signs With Mason City Toros

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to announce that client Anton Egle, has signed with the Mason City Toros of the NA3HL. The 6'1, 176 pound Swedish winger is a left shot and was born September 29, 2002. Anton is a Trelleborgs IF youth product, who has played for Malmö Redhawks, IK Pantern, Borås HC, and most recently, HC Vita Hästen.

In the COVID-19-shortened 2020-2021 season, Egle got off to a hot start with 2G-2A in his first 4 Games Played. The season prior, he was a very productive contributor for both Borås HC's J18 Elit (25GP-8G-6A-14PTS) and J20 Elit (15GP-6G-4A-10PTS) teams. He also had the honor of making his A-lag debut, as he played a single game for Borås' HockeyEttan squad. When Egle played for IK Pantern, he led their U16 team in Goals-Per-Game and Points-Per-Game. This will be his first season playing outside of Sweden.

The Mason City Toros are the affiliate of the new North Iowa Bulls NAHL franchise. The two teams will play out of the same facility, in Mason City, Iowa.  The recently-rebranded Toros have a rich history of success at the Tier-III Junior A level, as the club has won four national championships.

International Hockey Management President, Chris White, commented,

With his 14-day quarantine now completed, we are excited that Anton has finally arrived in Mason City. With the organization having teams in both the NA3HL and NAHL, it is a great fit for a player of Anton's caliber and age. He has two seasons of US junior eligibility remaining, and this should be an ideal situation for his development.
