IHM Client Artem Korolev Signs With OKC Blazers

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to announce that client, and Russian forward, Artem Korolev, has signed with the Oklahoma City Blazers of the NA3HL. The 2000-born Moscow native stands 5'11 and weighs 180 pounds. The left shot winger is a dynamic offensive talent, and always the hardest worker in the room. Last season, Korolev started the year with the defending Robertson Cup NAHL champion Aberdeen Wings. Then, he finished the season in the Boston Jr. Bruins organization, playing games with both the NCDC and Premier teams. He joins the Blazers organization in his final season of junior eligibility.

Korolev is a veteran of 158 Games Played on US soil, and has registered 81 Goals and 150 Assists. Korolev started his OKC Blazers career with a bang, recording 3 Goals and 4 Assists on the opening weekend. Korolev joins other IHM clients Matthew Genter and Anthony Rodriguez, in OKC, while the trio jointly awaits possible IHM European reinforcements, pending travel restrictions being lifted.

Oklahoma City is in their first season of NA3HL competition. The city has long been home to junior hockey, and the Blazers franchise. The new-look Blazers feature a top-notch coaching staff, good facilities, and an affiliation with the Wichita Falls Warriors of the North American Hockey League. Korolev is hoping this platform gives him opportunities at the collegiate level, or possibly even in Europe, for the following season.

OKC Blazers Head Coach & General Manager, Josh Berge, said,

"When we learned Artem might become available, we knew right away we would be extremely interested. He is a proven elite producer at this level, and has very valuable experience in the NAHL & NCDC. I think Artem will be one of the, if not the, top player in our league, this year. We are very excited he chose to come to OKC."

International Hockey Management President, Chris White, commented,

"Artem is the type of player you love to root for. He's a fantastic young man, who is extremely talented, but more importantly, his dedication and work ethic are unsurpassed. He will be a major factor for this franchise, and in the NA3HL, as a whole. I think the Blazers staff's ability to develop him and help him with other opportunities was the key component to this signing. It's been a crazy year for most players, and Artem ran into several issues this off-season, so we're delighted he finally has a home and an organization that is committed to his individual progress."

CONGRATULATIONS, Artem!
