IHM Client Max Danis Signs With Ockelbo HC
International Hockey Management is proud to announce that Canadian forward client, Maxime Danis, has signed with Ockelbo Hockey Club in Sweden's HockeyTrean. The left shot played for Bollnäs IS, last season, and graduated from New England College in 2020. The Waterloo, Quebec native stands 6’1, and weighs 185 pounds. Danis was born August 18, 1997, and can play wing or center.
Last season was Danis' first abroad. Unfortunately, it was a COVID-19-shortened HockeyTrean season. Danis was a four-time Dean’s List honoree at New England College, including being named to the 2018-2019 New England Hockey Conference All-Academic Team. Max previously attended Hebron Academy (US-Prep), where he was 3rd on the team in Goals, 4th in Points, and was a two-time Dean’s List honoree. In his final collegiate season, the NEC Pilgrims Men’s Hockey Team went to the NEHC Semi-Finals, before losing to Hobart College. Max played ice hockey, lacrosse, and soccer at New England College.
Ockelbo is located northwest of Gävle, Sweden. The town has just over 3,000 residents. Last season, the club rostered five North American players. Ockelbo HC plays their games in Uggelbo Arena.
International Hockey Management President, Chris White, commented,
“Max had a great experience, last year, in Sweden. Unfortunately, he was unable to play many games to prove himself. Thus, this is a big year for him, and Ockelbo HC will provide him with a solid opportunity to show what he can do."
