IHM Welcomes Canadian Forward Joseph Wheeler

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to announce the signing of Canadian forward, Joseph Wheeler. The 6’3, 205 pound right shot centre is from High River, Alberta. He just completed his third season of junior hockey, and was born September 3, 1999. Wheeler is a three-year alum of the Tier-II Junior A Western States Hockey League. He is looking to continue his career in Europe, for the upcoming season.

Wheeler was intending to enroll in Canadian university, and play hockey in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference. Unfortunately, the ACAC cancelled the hockey season, forcing Wheeler to explore other options. Last season, he was an Assistant Captain with the Las Vegas Thunderbirds. He had a career year, recording more points than his first two seasons, combined. He finished with a stat line of: 45GP-13G-19A-32PTS. Prior to Las Vegas, Wheeler played for the Long Beach Bombers, in addition to brief stints with the Valencia Flyers and Arizona Hawks.

International Hockey Management President, Chris White, commented,

“Joseph’s situation is not unique, sadly. Many players are scrambling to find opportunities, this season. Joseph is a great teammate, very coachable, and gives his all for the team. At his age, it’s important to find any scenario that will allow him to continue his development during these strange times. He is coming off a strong season, and deserves a chance to pursue his passion. We look forward to helping Joseph adapt to the current circumstances and find a home for the upcoming season.”

WELCOME TO THE IHM TEAM, joseph!
