IHM Welcomes Swedish Forward Oscar Berghult

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to announce the signing of Swedish forward, Oscar Berghult. The 6’2, 198 pound left shot was born May 3, 1999. In the past two seasons, he has played 37 Games at the Division 1 level in Sweden, known as HockeyEttan, along with 31 games in Division 2, and 30 in J20 Elit. This year, Berghult is looking into options outside of his home country.

Berghult’s top level of play, Sweden’s Division 1, has included time with both Wings HC Arlanda, and Vallentuna BK. He has a career Division 1 stat line of: 37GP-4G-1A-5PTS. However, at both the Division 2 and J20 Elit levels, since 2018, he has scored over a point-per-game for Rimbo IF and Vallentuna BK. He was also over a point-per-game at the J18 Elit level, over the course of two seasons. In back-to-back seasons with Vallentuna J20, then Rimbo Division 2, Bergult was second on his team in scoring. Berghult is also an alum of the infamous TV-pucken tournament for the nation’s top 15 year olds, as he played for Stockholm Nord in 2014.

International Hockey Management President, Chris White, commented, “Oscar is a big, smooth-skating forward that has shown a knack for scoring at many of his stops along the way, in his career. He plays a solid 200-foot game, and we will be looking to help him expand his options for the upcoming season.”
