IHM Adds Alps Regional Director - Matteo Malfatti
International Hockey Management is proud to announce the newest member of the IHM Team, and Staff, Matteo Malfatti. Born in Milan, Italy, Malfatti retired from his player career in 1996. In the ensuing years, he has been a Head Coach, General Manager, and Sports Director, from U17 to the Professional level. Malfatti has been named IHM’s new Alps Regional Director.
As a player, he won a gold medal with the U20 Italian National Team, and was selected on three occasions to represent his country on the senior National Team. He won two Italian Championships with his hometown team of Varese. In recent years, Malfatti has coordinated the signings of several players to the professional level in Italy and Switzerland. His knowledge on both sides of the negotiating table, combined with his on and off-ice success, will be crucial additions to the IHM Team. Malfatti’s expertise and experience will greatly benefit IHM’s presence within Italy, and the surrounding Alps Region.
International Hockey Management President, Chris White, commented, “Matteo and I really hit it off in our discussion about IHM, his personal history, and our vision. I think his presence in the Alps Region is going to be critical towards our ability to place professional clients for our agency branch, and generate new clients for our advisor branch. Matteo has a ton of experience, but has some fresh new ideas, as well. Italy is still a developing country, in terms of international ice hockey, and IHM is hoping to cultivate new relationships with some of the young local talent, as well as open doors for our existing clientele. With our Scandinavian Regional Director, Joel Larsson, and now, our Alps Regional Director, in Matteo Malfatti, I strongly believe International Hockey Management’s growth and success is on the right path for years to come.”
Welcome to the ihm team, matteo!
