IHM Client Alex Unga Signs With SK Lejon

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to announce that client, Alex Unga, has signed with SK Lejon in Sweden’s HockeyEttan (Division I). The Kiruna native was born August 4, 1999, and is entering his first full season of senior hockey. The right shot stands 6’0, and weighs 205 pounds. Last year, Unga played for Kiruna AIF.

The former Piteå HC J18 player has 28 games of HockeyEttan under his belt, from the past two seasons. He has also played 39 Games in J20 Elit, with Kiruna IF and Kiruna AIF, the past three seasons. Notably, Unga's Kiruna-native friend, former teammate, and also IHM client, William Strömbäck, has moved from Surahammars IF to SK Lejon. The pair will reunite for the current season.

International Hockey Management President, Chris White, stated,

"Alex contacted IHM, this month, which meant we needed to act quickly. We are very happy to have found him a good opportunity in HockeyEttan. I think it was a nice bonus that we also were able to place William Strömbäck with the same club, as the pair has a long history. Alex has good size and is a young player looking to carve out a consistent role with the A-team. We look forward to tracking his progress, this year."
