IHM Client Emil Svartbro Re-Signs With Hanviken

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to announce that client, Emil Svartbro, has re-signed with Tyresö/Hanviken SK in Sweden’s HockeyEttan. The Swedish Division 1 club is located just southeast of Stockholm. Svartbro is entering his second year of professional hockey. The 5’10, 181-pound left shot can play center or wing, and was born July 11, 1999. Emil, a dual citizen, recently competed for the Estonian Men's National Team in the Three Seas Cup, recording 2 Points in 3 Games Played.

Svartbo is re-signing with what is his parent club, as the former two-year Djurgårdens IF SuperElit player was born in Tyresö. Svartbro also played for local Stockholm-area clubs, Almtuna IS and Nacka HK, in his J18 years. Two seasons ago, Svartbro got back to his point-producing ways, compiling a stat line of 38GP-21G-38A-59PTS in the COVID-19-shortened Western States Hockey League season. Svartbro started the season with the Utica Jr. Comets of the NCDC, then made his way to the expansion Las Vegas Thunderbirds, before being moved to the perennial championship-contending Ogden Mustangs, prior to the trade deadline. Svartbro’s point total was good for a Top-35 spot in the entire WSHL. In 2020-2021, Svartbro finished his first pro year with a stat line of: 35GP-3G-1A-4PTS.

Svarbro has featured for the Estonian National Team in the aforementioned Three Seas Cup, as well as the Olympic Games Qualifiers. He also played for the U20 World Junior Championship team in 2018, where he won the Gold Medal on home ice, in Tallinn. Svartbro took a brief leave of absence from his Ogden team, to join his countrymen in Great Britain. Svartbro is also a U16 SM Gold Medal winner, from his 2014-2015 season with Djurgårdens IF.

International Hockey Management President, Chris White, commented,

Emil now has a season of HockeyEttan under his belt, and we expect him to continue to develop and progress. He has a proven track record of winning championships and production offense for his clubs. Thus, we're excited to see him take the next step in his career in what is a very comfortable locale.

CONGRATULATIONS, EMIL!
