International Hockey Management is proud to announce that client, Fabian Hast, has committed to Albertus Magnus College, of NCAA Division-III. The 6'1, 196-pound left shot forward was born April 25, 1999 in Landskrona, Sweden. Last season, Hast played for Tønsberg Vikings in Norway2. Hast was raised in the Malmö Redhawks organization, in southwestern Sweden, near the bridge to Denmark. Hast has also represented Team Estonia at the U20 World Junior Championships and their most recent senior team Olympic Games Qualifications.

Albertus Magnus College is at Catholic private liberal arts college in New Haven, Connecticut. There are approximately 1,500 students enrolled, between undergraduates and post-graduates. The school was established in 1925, and is near Yale University and Quinnipiac University, both NCAA Division-I programs. The Albertus Magnus Falcons play out of Ralph Walker Skating Arena. In their first year of NCAA Division-III Men's Ice Hockey, Albertus Magnus finished their independent schedule with a 4-18-2 record. The team was compiled exclusively of Freshman players, save for a single Sophomore. Albertus Magnus will join the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC), this season, which features programs such as the perennial national powerhouse Norwich University, along with others including Babson College and Hobart College.

Albertus Magnus College Head Coach, Kyle Wallack, commented,

"We're extremely excited about the commitment of Fabian Hast.  He's an electric player who brings a high skill set to our line up.  We're looking at him to bring instant offensive production and great leadership to our young team."

"It's always a pleasure to maintain relationships with former players.  I was fortunate enough to recruit and coach Chris back in my time at Quinnipiac University.  We've maintained a great relationship since our first meeting in 1999. What Chris has done, developing and educating future players, has been a pleasure to watch. He's extremely professional, has a great network, and most importantly, puts the players' interests first."

Then newest Falcon, Fabian Hast, said,

"It feels great to have signed with Albertus Magnus College. New Haven looks like a great city, that has everything I'm searching for. After talking with Coach Wallack, who has over 10 years in the highest level of NCAA hockey, I’m sure he can help me to be a better player, and also a better person. My goal is to become a professional player after graduating, and I feel confident Albertus Magnus can help me to reach my goals. Hopefully, I can have a big role on the team, and make an impact that helps grow the program. I am motivated to be a part of something new, and help define this program. The school wants to win, and that’s what I was searching for. I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds. I’m excited to come to both Albertus Magnus and New Haven, this Fall."

"Working with IHM has been easy, and I’m really happy that I choose to utilize their services. Chris and Joel have always been there since the start. I have talked to them every week, and we had a lot of meetings. They want to know their client as a person, and make sure that the decision is easy when it’s time for that. I had a lot of choices because of there big hockey network, and that’s been very good. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future can offer with IHM."

International Hockey Management President, Chris White, added,

"We were thrilled about the amount of opportunities Fabian had to choose from at the NCAA level. Now, it's even more exciting to know that he has made his decision, and committed to a young program, in Albertus Magnus; one in which he has the potential to play a key role and help grow along with the team. Fabian had some fantastic options available to him, but Albertus Magnus was not only able to offer the best financial package, but also featured a lot of key factors that peaked Fabian's interest, and that of his family. Obviously, Coach Wallack and I have had a relationship for over twenty years, and this gives it a special feeling for me, personally. That being said, this decision was made based on several important categories that Fabian had set forth, months ago. We at IHM are very anxious to follow Fabian's journey at Albertus Magnus, and can't wait to see him put on the Falcons jersey, this Fall!"

CONGRATULATIONS, FABIAN!
