IHM Client Melvin Krause Signs With KHK

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to announce that client, Melvin Krause, has signed with Karlskrona HK in Sweden's J20 Nationell (SuperElit). The 6'6, 203 pound right shot winger was born February 19, 2003. Krause played this past season for Linköping HC's J18 Elit team. Krause was born in Visby, Sweden.

The big power forward led his U16 team in Points-Per-Game in 2016-2017, and then broke onto the scene the following season. In 2017-2018, Krause tied for the team lead at TV-pucken when he represented Östergötland. He also led the Linköping HC U16 Elit in scoring with 33 Points in 21 Games Played. This past season, Krause was on a Point-Per-Game pace for LHC's J18 team, and was leading the club with 6 Goals through 7 Games Played.

Last year's KHK J20 Nationell team did not fair well in the South Division. However, the J18 team was much more competitive, and several of the 2003 & 2004 born players will be moving up to J20, this year. Along those lines, Stefan Fredriksson will also be moving from Head Coach of the J18 team to the same position with the J20 team. KHK's A-team has played in the SHL (top Swedish pro league), and the club features a strong history of player development.

International Hockey Management President, Chris White, says,

As a first year J20 player, we are hoping this opportunity will allow for Melvin to take a big role in the team, and put him in a great position for the 2022-2023 season. He is doing a great job in the off-season with focusing on some individual development, and he is hungry to compete at the highest level. Melvin has a very bright future, and will certainly prove some people wrong this year.

congratulations, MELVIN!
