IHM Client Nick Govig Signs With Pensacola

International Hockey Management is proud to announce client Nick Govig has signed with the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the Southern Professional Hockey League. Last season, Nick played for ERV Schweinfurt in Germany's Regionalliga. The December 24, 1993-born right shot stands 5'9, 170lbs and can play wing or center. Originally from Crofton, Maryland, Govig has spent two years in Germany, and is in his first season of professional hockey in the United States.

The 27 year-old has led his team in Goals the past two seasons. With ERV  Schweinfurt, he recorded a stat line of 8GP-5G-3A-8Pts in the COVID-19-shortened 2020-2021 season. The year prior, with Stuttgard Rebels, Govig was one of the league's top scorers; 20GP-23G-15A-38Pts. Prior to playing in Europe, Govig spent time at Fitchburg State University in NCAA D-III, the NAHL, the USHL, the VIJHL, the AtJHL, and T1EHL U18 AAA.

The Pensacola Ice Flyers have won the SPHL's President's Cup in 2013, 2014, 2016, & 2021. They are coached by Rod Aldoff, and play their home games at the 8,049-seat Pensacola Bay Center.  They team was founded in 2009, by former NHL player Tim Kerr.
