IHM Client Rohlik Drafted In NCDC By Jersey Hitmen

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to announce that client, Ondřej Rohlík, has been selected by the Jersey Hitmen of the National Collegiate Development Conference's 2020 Entry Draft. The NCDC is the top junior league under the United States Premier Hockey League umbrella, and is a tuition-free league. Rohlík played last season with HC Pardubice in the Czech Republic's top U20 league. The June 17, 2001 born center is a 6'1, 161-pound left shot.

Rohlík finished the season with a stat line of 41GP-21G-25A-51PTS, and was named Team MVP. His performance peaked during the DHL Super Cup Playoffs, when he finished 2nd in the country, scoring 15 Points in just 6 Games Played. In addition to his breakout junior season, he also made his debut for HC Dynamo Pardubice in the Czech Tipsport Extraliga. He was a Top-10 scorer in Czech U20, and Top-5 for his birth year. Rohlík now has his eyes set on junior hockey in the US, with the hope of earning an NCAA Division-I scholarship.

Jersey Hitmen earned the 2019-2020 Founders Cup, as the NCDC's top regular season team. They have placed 216 players into the NCAA level, and currently have 6 alumni in the NHL. The Hitmen have a stellar résumé of NCAA Division-I commitments from their top players. The club is based out of Wayne, New Jersey, and coached by Boston College and professional forward, Toby Harris. In the past three seasons of NCDC competition, the Hitmen have a combined record of 122-24-4, and have placed 47 players to NCAA Division-I clubs.

Rohlík was also drafted by the Tri City Storm of the Tier-I United States Hockey League, back in early May. Thus, the skilled Czech center will be attending their Main Camp in early September. Rohlík has spent this unique off-season working on two primary goals: his English and his fitness. In terms of the latter, he has already added 3kg (nearly 7 pounds) of muscle. In any event, it appears Rohlík will be in a very promising position to earn an NCAA Division-I scholarship, given his current options.

Jersey Hitmen Head Coach and General Manager, Toby Harris, commented,

"We selected IHM client, Ondřej Rohlik, in the 2020 NCDC Entry Draft because we were looking for a dynamic center with speed & high end skill. Ondrej checked all the boxes. He'll be great in our system, once he gets acclimated to the rink size."

CONGRATULATIONS, Ondřej!
