IHM Client Tim Christiansson Drafted By North Iowa Bulls

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to announce that Swedish client, Tim Christiansson, was selected in the 2021 NA3HL Draft by the recent Fraser Cup Champion North Iowa Bulls. The 5'7, 176-pound left shot forward is from Landskrona, Sweden. Christiansson will turn 20 years old on May 22. Last season, he played for Olofströms IK in Sweden's HockeyTvåan.

The North Iowa Bulls have won a National Championship four times in the past eight seasons. They will look to go back-to-back in 2021-2022, in addition to the exciting announcement of the NAHL's Amarillo Bulls moving to North Iowa, and providing the NA3HL club a direct affiliation. The Bulls play their games out of Mason City Arena, in Mason City, Iowa.

In the COVID-shortened 2020-2021 hockey season, Christiansson recorded 2G-3A in 7 Games Played for Olofströms IK. The year prior, he posted 18 Points in 27 Games for the J20 club, while also making his senior team debut. Christiansson has donned the sweaters of Helsingborgs HC, IK Pantern, Borås HC, Rögle BK, and Malmö Redhawks. He also represented his region, Skåne, in 2016-2017 at the famed TV-pucken tournament for the country's top 15 year olds.

We had a plan for Tim to be patient throughout the off-season and see how things develop in the US junior hockey world. However, when an opportunity for him to join arguably the top Tier-III program in the country, combined with an NAHL camp invitation and a first-rate development model, it was a no brainer. Coach Sanden has a proven track record of nourishing players and moving them on. Tim is going to be in a great spot, with the ability to turn his final year of junior eligibility into a collegiate career. We are very excited for him to get the process started.
