IHM Welcomes American Defenseman Colin Whitt
International Hockey Management is proud to announce the signing of American defenseman, Colin Whitt, of Worcester State University in NCAA Division-III. The Southlake, Texas native was born June 3, 1995. Named an Assistant Captain in 2019-2020, Whitt completed his collegiate career with a stat line of 77GP-3G-6A-9PTS. The 6’1, 195 pound left shot is looking to play in Europe, this season.
The steady presence on the Lancers’ back-end plays a physical, team-first style of game. In 2016-2017, Whitt led WSU in Rookie Defenseman Scoring. Worcester State University competes in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, at the NCAA Division-III level. Last season, they finished 6th in the conference. Whitt played in all 26 games, his Senior season. The former High School All-American was second among defensemen in scoring, on his 2015-2016 Florida Eels USPHL squad, recording a 20-point season.
Worcester State University Men's Ice Hockey Assistant Coach, John Coughlin, gushed,

He was a Honor Roll student for 4 years, and has given 100% at every practice, and game, throughout his career. He out-works everybody, every day, and he rarely gets beat; if he does, he recovers in time to make the play. It is all about results, with Colin. He knows his game, and does not try to do too much. I would want him on my team any day! He has an exceptional work ethic, is a good locker room guy, plays a physical game, and keeps it simple. If there is anybody deserving of an opportunity to play at the next level, it is Colin! He leads by example; we need more just like him."
