IHM Welcomes American Forward Anthony Rodriguez

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to announce the signing of American forward, Anthony Rodriguez. The 2000-born Las Vegas native stands 5'10 and weighs 180 pounds. The left shot winger is a versatile player with experience at center and defense, as well. Last season, Rodriguez was the captain of the expansion Las Vegas Thunderbirds, in the Tier-II Junior A Western States Hockey League. He is entering his final season of junior eligibility.

Rodriguez finished the year with a stat line of 45GP-18G-12A-30Pts, before the season was cut short. The T-Birds were heading towards the playoffs, which would have been back-to-back appearances for Rodriguez. Formerly of the Long Beach Bombers, Rodriguez's final game of the 2019-2020 season was his 100th career junior hockey game. He increased his goal total by 10, in his second season, and finished 5th on the roster in scoring. Rodriguez's minor hockey training came at the hands of the Las Vegas Storm and Arizona Bobcats programs.

International Hockey Management President, Chris White, commented,

"Anthony is a real Swiss Army knife type of player. He can play all positions, while combining grit and skill. He has the ability to be successful and contribute in a variety of ways. He's a very hard-working and respectful young man. Last year, he was counted on as a leader, and helped guide an expansion team into a playoff spot. He'll be looking for a place to continue his development, play for a winning franchise, and put himself in a favorable position to look at college opportunities. We're happy to have earned Anthony's trust, and look forward to helping him continue to climb the hockey ladder."
