IHM Welcomes American Forward Matthew Cuce

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to announce the signing of Elmira College NCAA D-III standout forward, Matthew Cuce. The Vermont-born right shot center now lives in Fort Myers, Florida, and recently graduated after a stellar four-year collegiate career. Cuce is 5’9, 166-pounds, and is looking to play in Europe, this season. The twenty-four year old sniper was born September 14, 1995.

Cuce was the 2014 Mr. Hockey in Vermont, an honor given to the top player in the state, prior to a two-year junior career with the Florida Jr. Blades and Springfield Jr. Pics. In his Freshman campaign at Elmira College, he was named the ECAC West Rookie of the Year. He propelled his 25-point season into a career stat line of 105GP-49G-78A-127PTS. During that span, he was a two-time member of the All Conference Team, was the W.B. Mason Tournament MVP, and a two-time Elmira College Men’s Ice Hockey Team MVP. Cuce also was counted on as a leader, highlighted by his Assistant Captain nod as a Senior.

Elmira College Men’s Ice Hockey Head Coach, Aaron Saul, noted,

“Matt was an outstanding player for us, over the last four years. He plays in all situations, and has a very bright future in pro hockey."

International Hockey Management President, Chris White, commented,

“Matty had a stellar NCAA career. He broke onto the scene with Rookie of the Year honors, and then displayed fantastic consistency the next three seasons, scoring double-digit goals and notching over 30 points in each of his final three years. We expect Matty to be a top player for whichever organization is willing to give him an opportunity. This off-season has been extremely unique, and has proven to be difficult for Americans looking to play in Europe, but I strongly feel Matty is too good of a player to not garner interest.”
