IHM Welcomes Czech Forward Ondrej Rohlik
International Hockey Management is proud to announce the signing of Czech forward, Ondrej Rohlik. The left shot center was born June 17, 2001, stands 6’1, and weighs 161 pounds. He spent this past season with HC Dynamo Pardubice, of the Czech U20 junior league. Rohlik is looking to make the move to US junior hockey, for the upcoming season.
Rohlik recorded a stat line of 41GP-26G-25A-51PTS, this season. Even more impressive, were his numbers in the DHL Super Cup Playoffs: 6GP-8G-7A-15PTS. This production earned Rohlik Team MVP honors, which was voted on by his teammates and staff. His 15 playoff points were good for 2nd in the DHL Super Cup. He led his HC Dynamo Pardubice U20 team in Goals, Assists, and Points, which was also good for Top-10 in the league and Top-5 for his birth year. Additionally, Rohlik made his debut with the HC Pardubice Czech Extraliga squad; another feather in his cap over the course of a breakout 2019-2020 campaign. Last season, Rohlik finished 2nd in Scoring among U18 players on HC Pardubice J20. The only 2001-born player with more points was Filip Koffer, who just finished a strong season with the Prince George Cougars, of the Western Hockey League.
International Hockey Management President, Chris White, commented,
“Ondrej is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential. His focus this off-season will be heavily focused on two things: increasing his muscle mass, and learning the English language. He has a real knack for scoring goals, but he plays a complete game. He was really counted on this past season, and that can only help him moving forward. I anticipate a very bright future for this young player, as he takes the next step in his career. Of course, it must be said, I have known Ondrej for a few years, since I coached his older brother, Miroslav. Miro and I discussed Ondrej’s future, at length, and I couldn’t be happier to have the honor to play a part in guiding him through this process. Ondrej will definitely benefit from Miro’s experience in North American hockey and command of the language. Ondrej is a unique talent that is entering a crucial developmental window in his hockey career, and we are aggressively pursing the best platform for him to improve as a player.”
