IHM Welcomes NCAA Forward Jacob Moreau

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to announce the signing of Canadian winger, Jacob Moreau. The Dollard Des Ormeaux, Quebec, Canada native just completed his final season with Connecticut College in NCAA Division III. The right shot stands 5’11 and weighs 165 pounds. He was born on November 18, 1995, and is looking to continue his career in the professional ranks, preferably, in Europe.

Moreau wore an “A” on his chest, for his fourth, and final, year with the Camels men’s hockey team. The prolific scorer finished with an NCAA career stat line of: 97GP-27G-36A-63PTS-96PIM. His personal best season was in 2017-2018, when he recorded 11G-11A. That season, he led the team in Goals and Points, and was voted Second Team All-NESCAC. The following season, he again led the attack, with team-bests in Assists and Points. Prior to Connecticut College, Moreau played a season in the Jr A CCHL, which came after two years at Millbrook school (US-Prep).

Connecticut College mainstay Head Coach, Jim Ward, commented,

"Since I first saw Jacob playing at the prep level, to his final game in his senior year, he has been an offensive threat on the ice. He sees the ice well, and has the ability to control the pace of offensive zone play with and without the puck. He is relentless in puck pursuit, and has a gritty personality as a player who sets tempo in practice and games, on a daily basis. Jacob's presence as a leader in the locker room, on the bench, and in the campus community during his junior and senior years, is a testament to his evolution not only as a player but a person."

International Hockey Management President, Chris White, continued,

"Jacob is an extremely well-rounded player. He makes plays all over the ice; be they simple or of the highlight reel variety. He possesses a high level of skill that is often on display in power play or odd-man rush situations. He also has a sneaky right shot release. He has a little bit of nastiness to his game that keeps him competing at a high-level. We’re excited to help guide Jacob through this off-season, as he moves another rung up the career ladder.”
