IHM Welcomes NCAA Forward Liam Blais
International Hockey Management is proud to announce the signing of Canadian centre, Liam Blais. The Uxbridge, Ontario native is a 5’10, 175lb right shot born on September 25, 1995. He just completed a four-year collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin-Superior NCAA D-III, and is looking to elevate his game to the European professional ranks.
Blais finished his UW-Superior Yellowjackets career on a high note, recording career bests in Games Played (29), Goals (7), Assists (9), and Points (16). His four-year totals were: 107GP-13G-25A-38PTS. UW-Superior finished with a 16-10-3 record, the most wins in a single season for the Class of 2020. Prior to going the US college route, Blais was a point-per-game player for the Elliot Lake Wildcats, of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, where he wore a letter as an Assistant Captain.
Yellowjackets Head Coach, Rich McKenna, commented,
“Liam came to UWS four years ago with goal of changing our program. He attained that with his high character, determined work ethic, and constant hunger for improvement. He never wavered in his belief, and was rewarded with a career-high senior season in points, propelling our program to a Top-10 National Ranking. I believe Liam is just scratching the surface of his ability and will be a foundational piece to his professional organization.”
International Hockey Management President, Chris White, added,
“Liam finished his career with a strong individual season, and helped elevate the program over his four years. His work down low, in the corners, is at a very high level. He gets on pucks, wins battles, maintains possession, and then creates opportunities. His prowess in the face-off circle is one of his best strengths, which can never be understated for a center. We at IHM are very much looking forward to accompanying Liam on this transition to professional hockey.”
