IHM Welcomes NCAA Goalie Avery Gobbo
International Hockey Management is proud to announce the signing of goaltender, Avery Gobbo. The Oakville, Ontario, Canada native just completed his Senior season at Connecticut College NCAA Division III. The June 29, 1997 birth date stands 5’10 and weighs 181lbs. Gobbo, who is also an Italian passport holder, is looking to continue his career at the professional level, in Europe.
Gobbo finished his collegiate career with the Camels as the team’s Most Improved Player. In his four-year career, he compiled a stat line of 37GP-2.93GAA-.908SV%. Gobbo had stellar seasons his Freshman & Junior campaigns, combing for a 2.63GAA & .918SV%. Prior to committing to Connecticut College, in the New England Small College Athletic Conference, Gobbo played US Prep at Northfield Mount Herman School, sporting a 2.59GAA & .920SV%.
Long-time Camels Head Coach, Jim Ward, described his former netminder,
Avery is talented, athletic goaltender, that lives in the gym. He is also a very, very smart young man.
International Hockey Management President, Chris White, added,
Avery put together a solid collegiate career, but was in a bit of a time-share. He’ll be looking to take on a bigger role, as he transitions to the next phase of his career. He’s been a pleasure to work with, thus far, and I’m eager to see where this journey takes him.
