IHM Welcomes NCAA Hopeful - Fabian Hast

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to welcome Fabian Hast to the IHM Team. The April 25, 1999-born forward hails from Landskrona, Sweden, and played this past season with the Tønsberg Vikings of Norway2. Hast also has featured for the Estonian National Team at the 2019 World Junior Championships and the 2020 Olympic Games Qualifiers. Last season, he produced a stat line of 24GP-8G-9A-17PTS for the Vikings. At the World Junior Championships, Hast put up 5 Points in 5 Games Played. Hast is utilizing IHM's services in hopes of continuing his career at the NCAA level.

Hast is a product of the Malmö Redhawks hockey organization in southwest Sweden. The 6'1, 191-lb left shot winger has also featured for IF Troja-Ljungby and Halmstad Hammers HC. Prior to his move to Norway, Hast competed at the Division 1 and J20 SuperElit levels.

Hast hopes to become the only active NCAA player to come from the Norway2 league. Fabian’s big-game experience, size, and offensive talent quickly caught the eyes of NCAA Division-III coaches, around the USA.

IHM President, Chris White, said, “We received a lot of interest in Fabian, right away. Our initial list was more than 12 teams. As of now, we have narrowed that down to 4 schools in which Fabian has chosen to apply to. Not only do I expect him to be a high-caliber player for whichever school he chooses, but even more so, I know he will be a quality teammate, student, and citizen. He’s been a pleasure to work with, and we are all very excited for him to experience this journey.”

IHM’s Scandinavian Regional Director, and fellow Landskrona native, Joel Larsson, added, ”I’ve personally known Fabian for a long time, and know about his ambitions and goals within hockey. 'Hasty' is professional in everything he does, and has good experience from the Estonian National Team. I’m excited for Fabian, and happy that he picked IHM to guide him throughout his career.”

Hast commented, “I chose IHM because I knew that the company had big hockey contacts all around the world, and in different leagues. My goal was to play college hockey at the highest level that was possible for me, and I was sure that Chris and Joel could help me with that. The process has been very easy, and I’m happy that we have come a long way so far. My experience has only been positive. My goal is to play NCAA hockey next season, and after sending out my highlight video, Chris was talking with lots of coaches, and a lot of schools were interested. That gave me a good chance to pick the right school, that has the things I am searching for.

IHM is doing the best for the client, and they are very honest about what they think is best for me and my family. I started the process with IHM on March 15, and now it’s April 12, and I’m almost done with the applications. The process has gone very fast, and the contact with Chris at IHM has been there everyday since we started the process. I’m very happy about how everything has turned out so far.”
