IHM Welcomes Swedish Forward Isak Johansson

by Chris White

International Hockey Management is proud to welcome Swedish forward, Isak Johansson, to the IHM Team. The Göteborg resident spent the COVID-shortened season with Partille HK in Sweden's J20 Division 1. The 5'9, 176 pound winger is a left shot. Johansson was born November 5, 2001 in Bogotá, Colombia. Johansson will be eyeing a return to US junior hockey, for the upcoming 2021-2022 season.

Johansson's Partille HK J20 team was, unfortunately, only able to play 3 games, this year. However, Johansson finished second on the team with 4 Points (2G-2A). Last year, Johansson was a member of the returning Thorne Cup Champion El Paso Rhinos, who looked to be poised for a run at a repeat. In 18 Games Played, Johansson recorded 3 Goals and 3 Assists. The hard-working forward was among the younger players, and in his first year of North American hockey. Rhinos Head Coach, Corey Herman, raved about Johansson's work ethic, team-first mentality, and cohesion with the group. Prior, Johansson was a top producer for Partille HK's J18 team, after spending his developmental years within the Bäcken HC organization.

International Hockey Management President, Chris White, commented,

Isak is an extremely dedicated and respectful young man, both on and off the ice. He is loved by his teammates and staff, and gives everything he has to fulfill whatever role he is given. He plays a very North American style game, as he is never afraid to play the body, or put his own on the line in the defensive zone. Isak is entering his final year of junior-eligible hockey in the US, and then we will explore both collegiate and European senior options. We're excited to help Isak find the best fit with a club for the upcoming season!

WELCOME TO THE IHM TEAM, isak!
