IHM Welcomes Swedish Forward William Stromback
International Hockey Management is proud to announce the signing of Swedish forward, William Strömbäck. The Kiruna native was born December 12, 1998, and can play center or wing. He stands 5’9, weighs 165 pounds, and is a left shot. Last year, he placed for Kiruna AIF in Sweden’s HockeyEttan (Division 1).
The twenty-one year old from Northern Sweden had a stat line of 30GP-5G-5A-10PTS, last year. He also was called-upon to play 7 Games for the J20 team, scoring 9 Points. Strömbäck now has his first full season of pro hockey under his belt, after having played split seasons the prior to seasons. He also played 23 Games for the Long Beach Bombers in the Tier-II Junior A Western States Hockey League, registering 15 Points. In total, Strömbäck put up 74 Points in 62 career J20 Elit Games.
International Hockey Management President, Chris White, commented,
“William is a very well-balanced player. His versatility includes the ability to play in multiple positions, roles, and situations. He is very responsible, and is effective in all three zones. He has been in the same hockey environment his whole life, save for a brief stint overseas. Thus, we are going to expand the scope and see what opportunities are available for William. It will be exciting to see where he ends up, and what he makes of his new surroundings.”
